The Portfolio of Peace: Checking the ROI of Your Relationships
- Malane Shani
We have spent this entire month auditing our hearts. We’ve looked at the corners we’ve ignored, closed the "diner" where we served everyone else for free, and finally stepped into the luxury of our own private Suite. But as we close out this journey, we have to talk about the most important part of your Great Reset: the people who occupy your space.
In the world of the Sovereign woman, every relationship is an investment. You are investing your time, your emotional labor, and your precious, finite energy. Today, I want you to look at your circle not through the lens of guilt or "history," but through the lens of ROI, your Return on Investment.
Identifying the Assets in Your Estate
An asset is a connection that adds value, peace, and joy to your life without requiring you to shrink to fit. These are the people who leave you feeling charged after a conversation, rather than drained and depleted. They respect your boundaries because they value your peace as much as you do. In a circle of equals, an asset is someone who can stand on their own foundation while celebrating yours.
The Reality of the Liability
A liability is a connection that requires constant maintenance and drains the resources of your spirit. These are the people who only appear when there is a fire for you to put out, but are absent when it is time for your restoration. A liability depreciates your energy; they remind you of who you used to be instead of honoring the Queen you are becoming. If a connection is costing you your sleep, your focus, or your joy, it is simply too expensive to keep in the portfolio.
The Trap of History vs. The Truth of Today
We often justify bad investments because of history: how long we’ve known someone or what we’ve been through together. But history is not a valid contract for future access to your private sanctuary. It is okay to realize that the people who fit the Struggling Version of you do not fit the Sovereign Version of you. Letting go of a liability isn't an act of malice; it is an act of stewardship over the life you are building.
Protecting the Treasury of Your Soul
Your peace is the gold of your estate, and it is your job to be a fierce protector of the treasury. When you begin to audit your occupancy, the room might feel a little empty at first, but do not panic. An empty room is not a sign of loneliness; it is a sign of exclusivity and a clean slate for your new life. You are the architect of your environment. Style it with peace, and watch how the rest of your life follows.
Affirm today: My peace is a sacred priority, and I am worthy of a circle that honors the woman I am becoming.
